A collaboration between the four company artists of Frontier Danceland, “Elemental Beings” distils basal elements of human existence to find an embodiment of a more primal state. The work hopes to envelop the audience in an immersive sensorial atmosphere, prompting them to find more intimate, introspective connections to their own bodies. Set to an evocative original score by Ecuadorean composer, Omar Khalife, the work is a continued foray by the company artists into interdisciplinary explorations between dance and different mediums of film, allowing them to push the boundaries of their choreographic practice.
